Helping Families and Their Loved Ones Find Senior Care That Feels Right
Facing the decision to move into assisted living isn’t just stressful—it’s emotional.
What weighs heaviest aren’t forms or pricing—it’s fear:
Families worry they’re betraying their loved one’s independence.
Older adults fear losing their freedom, privacy, or identity.
Neither group wants to be "that family" or "that resident" who gave up too soon.
At Maine Aging Partners, we start with that tension.
We understand the grief that comes when home doesn’t feel like home anymore.
We know the guilt families carry—and the anxiety older adults feel about making a change.
Our approach is different because we don’t just help you choose a place. We help you choose peace in the process.

How We Help — Without the Pressure
1. Hear What’s Really Going On
We start by listening:
What scares your loved one most—loneliness? Loss of independence?
What keeps your family up at night—costs? Care levels? Timing?
Where you feel stuck—and where you want relief.

2. Lay Out Real Options, With Real Heart
We don’t push menus or sales pitches. We share places that actually fit:
Communities that respect dignity over convenience
Services that honor independence as much as safety
Real licensors vs. lip service
You’ll see the full picture—costs, lifestyle, what matters most—and feel empowered to choose.

3. Move Forward—Together
When it’s time to make the choice, we guide the steps:
Visiting options with purpose
Asking the questions that matter
Supporting conversations with truth and care
Preparing for emotions on all sides
So your loved one doesn’t feel boxed in—and your family doesn’t feel lost.
Why This Matters
Because a "good enough" move isn’t enough for families or residents.
A rushed decision can lead to regret.
The right fit can unlock new energy, friendships, purpose—and safety.
At MAP, we help you see that difference—and live it.
Who We Are
Maine Aging Partners was born from real moments—when systems failed, families panicked, and older adults felt unseen.
Founder Kaitlyn Morse sat on the board of an assisted living facility. She watched as dedicated professionals hit walls of bureaucracy. She watched as her own grandmother lost her spirit in a facility that “checked the boxes” but missed the person. That experience revealed a gap—and planted the seed for MAP.
Today, we help families and loved ones navigate toward clarity—not regret. We don’t just place people. We bring peace.
